Fur-Baby Reiki™, otherwise known as Animal Reiki, is a healing practice that uses energy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being in animals. Heidi loves ALL animals. She has a very special connection with her canine patients and connects with their spirits during Reiki sessions. Heidi has also studied the unique anatomy and energetic physiology of dogs. Heidi’s goal is to always be the best Reiki therapist for your canine fur-babies.

The Reiki experience is unique for each animal. Deep relaxation is the most common response a dog will have during a Fur-Baby Reiki™ session. Many fur-babies yawn, lick, roll over for belly rubs. Some pooches will even fall asleep when receiving Reiki. Our fur-baby therapy sessions are peaceful with our fur-baby clients relaxing and enjoying the wonderful feelings that are making them feel better.

Yes! Fur-Baby Reiki™, or Animal Reiki can be given from a distance. Most people ask me, “How does that work?” Reiki is energy and not limited to time or space, it can be offered in-person or from a distance. The energy is equally effective in both instances. Distance Reiki offers the same benefits as an in-office sessions and is preferable if you live at a distance from Blossom Bioenergetics or if moving the animal would cause more harm.  

When your fur-baby comes in for a treatment, Heidi makes sure they feel comfortable. Sometimes that is on one of the fur-baby beds she has, sometimes it’s lying on the floor, sometimes its sitting on your lap. Heidi gives your fur-baby time to decide where they would like to settle. Some animals prefer to not be touched and that is fine as well. The treatment is generally done as a gentle touch; however, the treatment can be done just as effectively at a distance. The most important thing is that your fur-baby is comfortable.

That’s completly understandable. Dogs like to move around, especially when they are in a new environment. Heidi has a way of connecting with fur-babies and can still give Reiki energy from a distance. Sometimes a pooch will try to hide because they feel unsure of the space. In those cases, Heidi will work with you to make sure your fur-baby feels safe. Heidi wants your dog to feel loved, safe, and secure. She uses the first several minutes of a session to help your fur-baby acclimate and will sometimes start to send Reiki energy to help them settle and feel safe.
